Hot Pastrami is Hot!

Since we’ve begun promoting our Hot Pastrami on Rye Sub, we’ve had thousands of customers give it a try. And we have literally gone through tons of pastrami! Our customers really like our fresh-from-the-eegee’s-bakery rye roll stuffed with juicy, deli-sliced, flavor-rich pastrami served with dill pickle slices on the side.

eegee’s Hot Pastrami on Rye sub comes in three sizes: 5-inch, 8-inch and 12-inch. Each size comes with a generously heavy portion of pastrami. We recommend adding Gulden’s Spicy Mustard to make it a real deli-licious delight! You’ll like it!

Come on it and have a Hot Pastrami on Rye Sub Combo Meal. You’ll save money, and you’ll like that, too.

Mariachi Conference

Mariachi music and baile folklorico fill the streets April 26 through 28 as the Tucson International Mariachi Conference returns to Tucson for the 25th year. eegee’s is proud to be a major sponsor of this event that promotes mutual respect and understanding between Tucson’s Hispanic and non-Hispanic communities through a celebration of music, dance, culture, family and spirit.

The conference has two goals: First, to educate students and the general public on the rich mariachi cultural tradition. Second, to raise funds for La Frontera Center, a community behavioral health agency serving children and families in need.

eegee’s will be providing dinner and frozen fruit drinks for the 900 or so young people attending the student workshops at the Participant Showcase April 26. In addition, we will have a booth at the popular Fiesta de Garibaldi at Reid Park April 28. eegee’s is pleased to be a part of Tucson’s largest cultural event which has raised millions of dollars to help provide care, counseling, rehabilitative treatment, shelter and much more to the underserved of Tucson and Pima County.

For information about specific conference performances and events, visit www.tucsonmariachi.org. Tickets to specific performances are available from the Tucson Convention Center Box Office or www.ticketmaster.com.

Flavor of the Month

We get lots of requests for this month’s flavor. It’s refreshingly chilly "Peach ‘n’ Berry," a delicious flavor blend of peach and strawberry.

Like all eegee’s frozen fruit drinks, Peach ‘n’ Berry is fortified with vitamin C, calcium and magnesium as well as riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6 and more. It tastes good and it’s good for you, too.

You’ll find Peach ‘n’ Berry at all eegee’s restaurants throughout April
.

It Just Isn’t a Party Without eegee’s!

It’s the season for picnics! Barbecues! Graduation Parties! Patio Parties! And eegee’s has just the things to make your get-together special and easy.

First, there are eegee’s Fun Paks and Party Paks. The Fun Pak contains enough of your favorite flavor of eegee’s frozen fruit drinks to serve 25 thirsty folks. At $12.99 the Fun Pak is a real deal, but the Party Pak is an even bigger deal. It serves 50 and costs just $16.99. Both the Fun Pak and Party Pak come complete with cups, spoons and scoop.

Then, there’s The Party Special. This is a 3-foot eegee grinder or veggie grinder and a Fun Pak of eegee’s for $28.99. Other 3-footers are available at an additional cost. An eegee’s 3-foot sub will serve from 12 to 18 hungry partygoers. And for just $4.00 more you can get twice as much eegee’s with a Party Pak in place of the Fun Pak.

Make your party really special with an eegee’s Fun Pak, Party Pak or Party Special. They can be ordered by phone or at any eegee’s restaurant.

Raising Funds for NAMISA

eegee’s has coin canisters in each restaurant, and every month change is collected for a different local non-profit organization. During April the canisters will be collecting coins for the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill in Southern Arizona (NAMISA). NAMISA provides support, education and advocacy to persons who have a severe mental illness and their family members. If you can spare a coin or two, please consider donating to this worthy organization.

Smile of the Month

Young Katie's mother was trying hard to get the ketchup out of the bottle when the phone rang. Thinking that it was probably her husband calling to say he was going to be late again, she asked Katie to answer it. She regretted it as soon as she heard Katie say to the caller "Mommy can't come to the phone to talk to you right now. She's hitting the bottle."

Thank you for taking the time to look over our Zenvelope. And thank you for being an eegee’s customer. Have a great April!
